Looking for an SLP in Kenya?

The very best place to look for updated information about finding a speech language pathologist or speech language therapist (they are the same thing) in Kenya is through the Association of Speech Language Therapy Kenya website:

http://asltk.wordpress.com

They have a page for this:

Basically, there are a variety of private speech therapy services in Nairobi and Mombasa.

Nairobi

SEP runs free developmental clinics one Saturday per month at Gertrude's Children's Hospital. For more information go to http://www.sepkenya.com/

There are also private speech therapists on staff at both Aga Khan hospital and Nairobi Hospital, and the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) in Kisumu is blessed with a talented SLT.

If you are concerned about your child and Autism, you may wish to contact Trixie Pujol at trixiepujol@gmail.com

Mombasa

There are several private therapists in Mombasa including Nuala Alibhai and Rehana Pasta.

You may be able to access services at the school for cerebral palsy in Tudor.

Dorothy Mvoi also provides speech therapy assessment and treatment services through Mombasa Education Assessment Resource Centre on Tom Mboya avenue. She can be reached at 0721 243 866. She will likely refer to Mombasa Children's Therapy Centre which is now a fee paying clinic.

Western Kenya
